Quinto’s professional journey began as a Geotechnical Consultant in the mining industry. However, he soon realised that his financial security was tied to external factors beyond his control. This realisation fuelled his quest for financial independence, leading him to invest hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars into understanding assets, investments, and income types.
His commitment to learning and personal growth paid off, and he developed a robust financial plan. However, the journey to financial freedom also introduced him to the complexities of the lending market. Recognising a gap in the market for better lending options, Quinto founded Q Financial.

I was a happy kid with a happy childhood. My folks weren’t what you would consider “rich” – but we were never short of a smile on our face growing up. All in all, I think I was a regular, happy, optimistic kid, I played lots of sports, spent lots of time outside and at the beach, all good.
Like many people, I came out of school, and entered the workforce (as a Geotechnical Consultant). This was great, and like many in our generation I ended up working in the mining industry. Getting a taste of the money on offer in that area gave me a taste of the lifestyle benefit to be had with that kind of income – I loved it! I experienced even more enjoyment that I had when I was younger and it was great – but it also led me to a conundrum – the money coming in from my mining employer was reliant on the employer. And this was reliant on a bunch of larger external factors, including the economies of other countries. All of which was out of my control and could change anytime.
I knew I wanted to keep the lifestyle I was enjoying, but I wanted to learn how to make this happen for myself, without relying on anyone. That’s when I started studying financial freedom.
I spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars, learned from the best and from those who’d done it in the past, and gathered together what I needed to know. Assets, investments, income types, I had my plan. I needed funding to make the dream happen – and this is when I came across my first experience with the world of lending. I saw what was on offer in the market – and I knew there had to be a better way.

The first reason (and most important) is my big why. I believe that life should be fun. I believe that we are here to smile, laugh, and feel amazing as often as we can – and squeeze the most awesomeness out of every minute we have here. I literally see no reason why this should not be the case, and I intend to live this example till I leave this planet.
I also believe (and know from personal experience) that achieving financial freedom on your terms is a way to increase the level of fun and enjoyment in our lives. Whether it’s toys for pleasure now, to travel and see the world or the good feelings of security with long term assets that increase wealth – it’s all good, and it all contributes to creating more joy in the now, and fulfilment of dreams in the future.
The second reason is the very clear need I saw to make the whole process easier, quicker, and more enjoyable than what was currently out there. Frankly, I knew there was a better way than either wasting time online with quick-fix solutions that aren’t – or going through the meat grinder of the corporate broking system.
The third reason is my personality. I just love helping and working with people – especially Gen Y people – on a personal level. I love the personal interaction, I love the meetings & exploring the options together – I love the whole process. Maybe due to my childhood, maybe it’s just in my DNA – but I have a naturally friendly, easy going manner – I love hanging out with cool people, developing ongoing lasting relationships – and helping them to achieve their financial (and personal) dreams. I love it.
